CAREER TECHNICAL AND STEM EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

What are Career Technical and STEM Educational Programs?

Career Technical Education (CTE) and STEM Educational Programs are closing the skills gap and creating the workforce of the future. CTE motivates students to learn through real-life applications related to jobs. For Magna, it helps develop technologically proficient future employees. Currently, Magna divisions partner with CTE schools to introduce young students to advanced manufacturing, which creates a CTE student pipeline to Magna.

How Does It Impact Magna?

Magna’s long-term strategy is to develop and create a direct pipeline of pre-skilled talent from partner K-12 and vocational schools. Magna divisions offer interested candidates the opportunity to explore advanced manufacturing and learn developing techniques and processes while still in high school. Students are also cross trained in facility operations and can earn micro-credentials that align them for job opportunities at Magna. This introduction and training will help close skills gap.
