What Are Talent Pipelines?
Magna works to create a talent pipeline to ensure we can find, recruit and retain the best talent. Building a talent pipeline begins with educating the next generation workforce, it also includes brand awareness; spreading the word about Magna as a company, our operations and capabilities, and the variety of career opportunities available at Magna and in the industry. We build awareness through sponsorship of FIRST® Robotics teams across North America, community events, and coordination with educational institutions. Magna also hosts students for Manufacturing Day tours every October, which gives students a firsthand look at the opportunities at Magna and clarifies the perception of manufacturing. By building partnerships with educational institutions, we can highlight the internship, apprenticeship, and job shadowing opportunities across Magna, which in turn gives students real-world work experience within their anticipated field and Magna the opportunity to hire entry level candidates from said programs.
